On the village side, with its street terrace near the church, Le Provençal’s Brasserie is a popular gathering place. From morning till night, people come to satisfy their appetite, indulge their laziness, and blend into local life.
Coffee at the counter, an eye on the newspaper shared with the local fisherman, an aperitif whenever the sun gets too high, convivial lunches, and evenings spent rehashing the world or post-match chats—the brasserie is a hub of life, friendship, and sharing.
Redesigned by interior architect Rodolphe Parente, it comes alive around its impressive counter, featuring lemon yellow and Prussian green faux-leather panels behind the bar, shimmering lilac taking over the banquettes, and enamelled lava tiles crafted by Pierre Pascalet. A little, a lot, passionately.
Family Recipes and Provençal Traditions
Typical of the village brasserie cuisine of the Var, the menu is a parade of grandmother’s recipes, dressed in chef’s hats and full of character. Tradition takes the lead, generosity follows closely behind, and indulgence is ahead of them both.
Aioli, fish soup, stuffed vegetables, pistou, ratatouille, Provençal daube - these specialties are savored like little madeleines of Proust. In the glasses, the wine list offers every shade - red, white, and of course rosé - from the Var or beyond, wherever winemakers craft fine bottles with respect for the land and their craft.
The desserts bring back childhood memories, and that’s just how we like it. Chocolate mousse, caramel cream, cherry clafoutis - the little spoons ask for more, and permission is gladly granted.
